About Nissaki, Corfu

Lying on the north east coast of Corfu, nestling in the foothills of Mount Pantokrator, this typically Greek village is a gem of a get-away and is ideal for families and children. With a mountainous coastline, Nissaki is essentially a small fishing village boasting a small, pretty horseshoe-shaped shingle beach which is excellent for swimming, bathing and watersports. A winding road from the main village with its shops and a church leads down to a quaint, cosy cove where you will find snack bars and a couple of tavernas serving refreshing drinks and local dishes. Plus there's a local shop for your daily essentials. Nissaki is within short walking distance to nearby Barbati with its pebbled beach, restaurants and bars, and Kaminaki and Krouzeri Beach.

Should you fancy a day out, Ipsos and Kassiopi are a short journey away - it is here you will find more in the way of bustling after-dark high life and activity. Swimming in Nissaki beach is really a pleasure at the pebbly beach with crystal clear sea. There are numerous small, almost private, coves around and you may choose the one you like more. The beach is very good for snorkeling. And, if you wish, you may rent a small boat and start exploring the broader coastal area There is regular transportation by local bus. You can either go down the northeast coast ending in Corfu Town or up the northeast coast ending in the idyllic Kalami bay, the harbour resort of Kassiopi or San Stefanos.
